Other mailing lists experiencing same problems and who is the HUNT list-admin??? Regards, --Manaia ................................................................................... Ok! I just received this, It may work and it costs nothing except a minute of your time. EVERYONE: change the address of this mailing list in your address book by deleting the -L in the address. It isn't needed with this new mail handling program. ------ Double messages happen when anybody uses 'reply-to-all' on a message originally sent to the old address. The client puts the new address, (without the -L) into the TO: field and then includes the old one because it is considered the original sender and is different from the new address already in the TO: field. The mail then goes out as two messages to the list. Possible Solutions: 1. Do not use reply-to-all unless you edit the TO: field. 2. Everyone send to the newer address (without the -L) 3. Get Rootsweb mail server to drop the old style (forcing option 2.) Hope that helps explain it. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! That person would be Courtney Tompkins has said: Hi Allen and all, I'm still the "list Mom". There isn't anything wrong with the list, actually. There are just some differences in way the new server and the old server handle things. Technically, the address for the list is now Hunt@rootsweb.com, although the old Hunt-L@rootsweb.com will still work, at least for now.
