Barb ... No, actually my HUNTs were orig. from VA. Although there was a branch related to my HUNTs who went into NC. It's possible these HUNTs (prob. related to my HUNTs) of GA (Upson Co. and Douglasssville, TX) were orig. from VA and later went to NC before setteling in GA. Do you recognize this HUNT family?

My HUNT line split ...NC to TN...then split some stayed in TN...some went to IL..Massac Co. and Pope Co....and some came to TX...mostly in Kaufman Co....Henderson Co.... NC is as far back as I have gotten...Archibald HUNT...born 1789 NC and Mary GILMORE..born about 1790 NC... all their children were born in NC...mostly around Chatham Co. Mary Gilmore died 1846...Archibald remarried 1847 to Eliza ?....they wed in TN and had one daughter named Church Ellen Hunt...b 1848 Archibald and Mary had a son...Thomas born 1807 in Chatham Co. NC..which is my line...he married Mary Lawrence born 1808 in NC...nine children all born in TN...one of thier sons was named Archibald II...he married Emma Emeline Simpson in TN...first 3 children were born in TN...the other 7 were born in Kaufman Co. TX...I descend down through the third child William Rastas....born 1855 TN... William Rastas married Florence Meharg...in Athens, Henderson Co. TX...9 childdren born in Kaufman Co. TX..... I am still working on this...trying to get more info on the older ones like in NC and TN and IL havae a James Marion HUNT born 1861 in Pope. Co. IL. have a James HUNT born 1845 in DeKalb Co. TN...he has a brother ..William Marvin born 1837...Thomas name runs through this line often.... Do you see anything that could match...?
