Hello listers: Although I am primarily a Tiller researcher, I do have an instance where Charles Hunt's widow named Tabitha ??? intermarries second with Thomas Tiller ca 1793. As I did not do this research myself..I cannot vouch for it's veracity. However, the Tiller line is one with whom I am also attempting to hook up with for m,y George Tiller of Spotsylvania CO. b ca 1787. It is my understanding that some of the Hunt family resided in that portion of Goochland which became Albemarle>then Amherst>then possibly Nelson counties as some of my Layne documents mention neighbors Christian, New and Hunt in present day Nelson counties. Hopefull this small reference to Charles and Tabitha might assist someone. regards [email protected] Descendants of Thomas Tiller(tyler) Generation No. 1 1. I know very little about Tiller, but there's reason to believe the Tabitha /Unknown/ Hunt, widow of Charles, did marry Thomas Tiller. Catherine Lindsay Knorr compiled bonds and returns in Charlotte County in 1951. Her entry on p. 83 below. "4 February 1793. Thomas Tiller and Tabitha Hunt, widow of Charles Hunt. Sur. James Johnston. Returned to May 1793 Court by Rev. John Chappell. p. 198". Charles Hunt died testate in Charlotte before Sept. 1, 1788, date his will was proved. Tabitha qualified as Executrix in same court session. Thanks for sharing the Tiller research. I'll remember to think of Tyler too.
