I thought that you might be interested in this. The IGI is maintained by the Mormon Church but the information is not necessarily input by them. The church produces the IGI as a service to church members and non-members alike. Anyone can submit genealogy records for inclusion into the IGI. The church only requires that the information be in the proper format. The church does not check the accuracy of the information, that is the responsability of the submitter, so information in the IGI may not always be correct since it is submitted by many different people. The church will screen out and information about people who are still living. Only very limited information is available about living persons. I'm not sure if information identifying the person who actually submitted the information is available. You could probably find out from one of their Family History Centers with just a phone call. -----Original Message----- From: Mdeanhunt@aol.com <Mdeanhunt@aol.com> To: HUNT-L@rootsweb.com <HUNT-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, May 30, 1999 4:17 PM Subject: [HUNT-L] Ambrose HUNT, and wife Rachel >Hello Friends and Cousins, > >I have about decided that this passion called genealogy is a lot like a >baseball game.
