I'm looking for anyone with Hunt roots in Lawrence County, OH. The ancestor I'm attempting to research is Alonzo Hunt, probably born between 1850-1861 (probably in Lawrence Cty.), died 1925 in Marion, OH. As the family was very poor at the time of his death, my mother, my siblings, and I have recently purchased tombstones for him and his wife, and the gravestone company is requesting his birthdate...and we have no idea. So far,the Lawrence County Health Department has no information, and we do not even know the names of his parents as a possible locator. Would this information be part of his death certificate? (although it seems that the gravestone company would have tried that...), or does anyone have any other suggestions that we may have missed searching? I appreciate any help anyone can give!
