Rober Hunt), of Minister in Thornet, yoeman, mentd, in bother's will 1606 as "now or late of Reculver." Was living in 1618 when his daughter married. Chn. of Stephen Hunt were: Elizabeth, married Herny Rose (of Cluslet), 03 Nov 1618, at St. yoeman Margaret's Canterbury. Source: Virginia Historical Magazine (pg. 416). Robert Hunt of Reculver father of Robert Hunt of Heathfield (Dictionary of National Biography, drawing its information from "Athenae Cathabrigenes"). The former was age 28 or thereabouts in 1597 when he married Elizabeth Edwards, of St. Margarets, Canterbury. If the vicar of Heathfield was the eldest child by the marriage he would have been age 8 when he made his will in 1606. These are undoubtedly the same person. Robert Hunt was instituted to the Vicarage of Reculver (and Heath) Co. Kent 18 Juanuary 1594. I have not found when his susscessor instituted at Reculver. He was instituted to the Vicarage of Heathfield, Co. Sussex 5 Oct 45 (sic) Eiz. according Bishops Certificates First Fruits. I imagine this must mean the 44th year of Elizabeth, 1602, for the 45th year of her reign was from 17th Nov 1602 to 24th March 1603 when she died. You will not the bracketed "anno reg nuper Regin Eliz. quadregesimo quinto". He had a daughter batpitzed at Heathfield 6 Feb 1602-3. His successor at Heathfield, Robert Say, was instituted and admitte 14 Sept 6 Jas. (1609). Source, "Robert Hunt", Contributed by Leo Culleton, 92 Piccadilly, London, W., Endland.
