October 16th marked the four-hundred thirty-ninth anniversary of the marriage of Thomas Hunt and Alice Pollarde, which took place in St. Nicholas Parish, Leicester, England. The groom was born about 1530 in Powerstock, England. Thomas and Alice had five known children: William, Johane, Thomas, Richard, and Elizabeth. The parents of both Thomas and Alice are not known to this researcher, and in fact no definite dates for Alice aside from her marriage are available at this time.
