Ellen: I don't know a thing about this, but it sounds fascinating! If you find out more---let us know? My aunt (a HUNT) had a dear friend in N.Y.C. who was Cornelia DePuyster Hunt. She was from a prominent N.Y. Hunt family, but I know nothing more. They used the claim "kinship", but I don't know if this was "for real". I have a beautiful small (about 6" X8" oil portrait of Cornelia when she was a young child. It is truly beautiful and I wish I knew who was related to her and know they would love to have this painting!
