    3. Dear Phyllis, Bob, Kate and Peter Many thanks for your messages. I have my James Hunt living in Scotland from about the late 1860s probably Hamilton. That’s what I remember from my mother. He didn’t marry my Ggran Catherine Conway until 1885 although he knew her when young. On the marriage cert it states he is a coal miner. His father Patrick Hunt was a General Labourer and his mothers maiden name was Catherine Duffy. They were both alive at this stage but I do not know if they were in Ireland or Scotland. He shows up in the 1891 Census for Hamilton and his place of birth states only Ireland. I think his father is there too but I am loath to spend too much money on certs until I am more sure. I intend to go to Hamilton before too long and hope I can find them on one of the censuses. Some of the ennumerators put the county of birth even though they were not supposed to. I might get lucky. I will keep in touch and let you know my progress particularly if their are connections. Many thanks for your responses Sheena
