    3. A few things to point out. Did the William S. of Abner have a wife Elizabeth Sheppard?What year was ABNER born? As I said I don't find an ABNER son of Jacob. That doesn't mean he's non-existent. The references you cite are usually ok. However you must consider that any one or all of them were taken from the other as is often the case. What you need is the source of each-My guess on the FTW is that it was copied from LDS. LDS reference was probably used for the DAR. I find one William, son of an ABNER but doesn't go back to Jacob. All three of your references probably have the same source. Without paperwork these references are only as good as the source.
