Tamara & Allen Have you wtitten to the county in IL where your ggg grandfather John Franklin HUNT died for a death certficate? The state of IL has records for deaths starts about 1916 if died after that date you can write to the state. On the death certificate if it is complete it will probable tell you where he was born. Do you have a library near you where you can do research? You need to look at the 1920,1910,1900, 1880,1870,1860,1850 US census films. You also need to check the soundex records first (index) for your HUNT family.
