    2. SANFORD B HUNT
    3. This is what I have from the Felicia File: .. Moved from Chesterfield Co., S.C. to Union Co., along with brothers Thomas B. and William in about 1787. He then moved to Greenville Co., S.C., where he was Sheriff from 1792 to 1794, and in 1794, moved to Bracken Co., Kentucky. In 1803, he gave his brother, Thomas power of attorney to sign all legal papers for him in Union Co., S.C. and after the death of Thomas, gave similar power to "his friend, Thomas Blassinghame of Union Co., S.C.". He may have gone to Georgia for a time, before moving to Kentucky. SERVICE: Militia Duty in Water's Regiment, and Brandon's Regiment. Ref. Audited Act of John Hunt for Militia duty-aa 3879 PPLkk-3kk, South Carolina Dept. of Archives and History. (Per DAR records). DAR records do not agree with those shown re children and some dates ******************************************************** He was the son of Catherine Blassingame and Christopher Hunt and brother of Charles Jefferson Hunt of the MORMON Brigade Whether he was the one who signed the delaration I don't know. Felicia Gourdin <fgourdin@mindspring.com> might have the answer. Sandy in Lyubbock
