HI I have a Hunt family from Cheadle, (which is just south of Manchester) - details below Paul Griffin Name: Henry HUNT _____________ Birth Date: 25 Sep 1838 Birth Place: Faversham, Kent Death Date: 16 Mar 1899 Death Place: 46 Swann Lane, Cheadle Burial Date: 1899 Burial Place: Urmston Cemetery Father: John HUNT (1800->1838) Mother: Martha Mason HARRIS (1785->1838) Died 1899 of 'consumption' (tuberculosis). Death certificate shows 1) pulmonary phthisis 2) cardiac syncope. Born in West Street, Faversham, Kent, (which was also his first address). In 1868 he was living at Priory Place, Dover, Kent. Followed in 1872 by 3 Vulcan Road, Deptford, SE London. Later living at 15 Ellesmere Avenue, Barton Upon Irwell in Lancaster (1881). Then at 'Mansfield Villas', Church Road, Urmston, Greater Manchester. Then in the late 1880s (after 1888) they moved to 'Faversham House' also in Church Road, followed in 1893 (because of his deteriorating health) moving into lodgings in Matlock, Derbyshire. In 1866 possibly living at 18 Military Road, Hougham, Dover, Kent (son's birth certificate) In 1868 he was a journeyman and bookseller. Before he was forced to stop work because of his health, he was the manager of the Manchester warehouse of W.H. Smith and Son Newsagents in Blackfriars Street (1888). Then in late 1890s the family moved to 46 Swann Lane, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire, where he lived until his death.
