Hi to All, It is good to be back on Hunt-L list again. Had to build a house so was off for a good while. Recently while looking over the 1840 census for Spencer Co., IN., I had a real surprise. My ancestor, Ralph Hunt Jr. b. 1772,PA migrated to Ohio Co., KY in the early 1800's. Mover across the Ohio river to Spencer Co, IN in abt 1822. I had seen the settlement of the estate of Ralph Hunt and assumed it was Ralph Hunt Jr. He was not in the 1840 index for Spencer Co. But as I have learned the index is only as good as the author. I wanted to look at Ede Hunt and how she fit into the program. And there next door to Ede Hunt was her father-in-law Ralph Hunt Jr. So now I must go back to the court records and find when did Ralph Hunt Jr. die?
