I know my great great great uncle William H. Hunt was born 8 Sep 1828 and he married Mat Gaule. I know he is the son of Jesse Hunt and Catherine Pedrick. That is all I know! Interested in finding out everything I can about him, his wife's family, and possible children. I know that his mother was born in Columbiana County, Ohio and his father in Guilford Co., NC and his parents both died in Wayne Co., Indiana. Nothing on children but we have the entire family back to progenitor. Shown below is what I have in my records. It would be nice to trade you your whole ancestry for what came after Jesse and Pedrick. One reason you might be having trouble is that this family is QUAKER which records are not usually found in non-Quaker genealogy programs. Jessie was defintely raised a Quaker. She attended Meeting for Worship in Economy and Richmond (Whitewater), Indiana. She told me that she was the only Quaker they let smoke! She smoked Asmador (spelling?) cigerattes [...I recall the smell with fondess] into a bowl with a towel over her head. She did, however, get read out of Meeting for marrying a non-Quaker. My grandmother says her mother raised her in a Quaker fashion. I have letters written to and from Catherine (Pedrick) and she was definitely a Quaker. Sandy, I have two (2!) broken scanners at my feet...when I get ONE in working order I will scan the letters and Anna Bond's diary (a collection of poetry, birth/death dates, and letters).
