Among Ambrose's know children was Peter Hunt of Kortwright NY who had a son Ambrose, b. Jan. 1781. You Ambrose, b. 1764. would have fallen between these two Ambroses and possibly an unidentified son of the first Ambrose if Dutchess Co., NY, is the right location for your Ambrose. I have spent several years researching the Hunts of Dutchess Co., NY and the families of the brothers mentioned. Found no reference to a Jeremiah Hunt. I have also spent several years researching the early Hunts of the Eastern Townships of Canada without coming aceoss the names Jeremiah or Ambrose., albeit I do have record of a Jonah Hunt and Philip Hunt among the early settlers in Bolton.
