    1. Re: [HUNT] Children of William Hunt
    2. I'm looking for a William Hunt b. 1850 (estimate) who married Norah Connors. They had at least two children Martin Hunt b. 1868-70 and Mary b. 1870-72. Mary and Martin arrive in US in 1887-9 and Mary marries John Fitzgerald in NYC in 1892; by 1900 census they are living in Jersey City NJ. Martin is living with his sister's family. Norah Hunt dies in 1906 in the US but I can't find any record of her coming over from Ireland. She is buried in Jersey City. I think William may have died in Ireland. Mary told her children that she lived in Limerick - don't know if that was the county or the city. I also don't know what happened to Martin Hunt after 1900 census. Eileen Healy

    3. Eileen, Most of the Hunt's of Limerick descend from JOHN HUNT Captain in the Army of Charles 1, was granted lands in Tullughfargus and Russellstown, County Wicklow, in part satisfaction of his service in Ireland. John's oldest son was Vere Hunt and a son named John. There is lots of information on the web about this family.
