Donna, I've followed this discussion, but am not sure which Hunts you're referring. Perhaps I missed the post where Hazel gave a link to her clan. However, I have Hunts in my line who settled on Campobello Island and Lubec, ME, and it doesn't seem too unlikely that some of them may have wandered into Quebec. I suspect they were fishermen and trappers, but am not positive. If you'd like to pursue this, could you email me off-group? That person would be Courtney Tompkins has said: Hi Allen and all, I'm still the "list Mom". There isn't anything wrong with the list, actually. There are just some differences in way the new server and the old server handle things. Technically, the address for the list is now Hunt@rootsweb.com, although the old Hunt-L@rootsweb.com will still work, at least for now. By the same token, you can just Delete one of the two messages then. When you get 5 or 10 of these unnecessary messages at a time, it's a real pain, so I certainly agree with Pat. So that we all understand what the ROOTSWEB HELP DESK is saying, it looks like, from now on, all email from ROOTSWEB will come from hunt-bounces@rootsweb.com ... If it appears to be something different to the geru that is with us (Courtney or Matt), please explain to us. Hello: > Name of the list:HUNT-L Are you the administrator? > No .......... Are you? or are you NOT? the list-administrator of the HUNT mailing list? .......... How can this problem be checked out > for us? I will be glad to represent the group > in clearing up this problem. Allen Hunt ......... I'd thought the "list-admin" represents the HUNT mailing list? I am puzzled because of the answer re "Are you the administrator?". Regards, --Manaia "Allen D. Hi Allen and all, I'm still the "list Mom". There isn't anything wrong with the list, actually. There are just some differences in way the new server and the old server handle things. Technically, the address for the list is now Hunt@rootsweb.com, although the old Hunt-L@rootsweb.com will still work, at least for now.
