    1. [HUNT] Hunts of Vermont
    2. Draper-tree
    3. Hi Roger, I have been researching the Hunts of Vermont for decades. Perhaps you are a long-lost cousin! My Hunts descend from Emory and Martha Hunt who are found in Pownal, Bennington Co., VT as early as 1790. At least several of their 14 children moved a few miles across the border to Hoosick, Rensselaer Co., NY, before moving further eastward. Two sons, Ebenezer and William, moved to Newstead, Erie Co, NY, near Akron, ca. 1826-28, and settled near the Clarence Twp. border in an area still called Hunts Corners. Later, other siblings also are found here, as well as their 99-year-old mother, Martha, in 1855. No doubt some of the siblings stayed in VT or northeastern NY. I would love to find out more about them. I descend from William and have much, much more information on several branches of this Hunt line. Some of my basic research can be found on my website below. I am always interested in any information anyone has to offer. Let me know if I can be of assistance in finding your Hunt roots in VT. Email me privately with any data you can find on your ancestors (dates, places, names, etc.). I will see what I can find for you. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~drapertree Elwyn Draper Visit the Draper-tree at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~drapertree ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a PS3 game guru. 1. [HUNT] to Hazel
    2. Hazel, Thanks for posting your line, I have a question, but it's not about your Hunt line it's about your Payne line, I couldn't find your email address so please reply back to me off line at _mvb0116@aol.com_ (mailto:mvb0116@aol.com) . My brick wall is Nancy Payne, married Benjamin Thornton in 1819 in Elbert Co. Ga. One source said her father was Jonathan Payne and I'm hoping that you have some info on your Jonathan Payne that you'll share. Thanks so much for all your work and I'm sorry to everyone for posting a non-Hunt post. Martha Vickery Bryan Roswell, Ga.

    3. Steve are your hunts actually one of the 14 as your subject line indicates. Mine are and when I see this subject in others email I assume their family is too. I became anxious to share info. If they are not its misleading and disappointing. 3. Hello back, Hazel, Many thanks for posting this Email again. I did research my database back or our origins and see that there is no John Martin Hunt married to a Martha Bowen Hunt. Further, in case these were a brother and sister, there was no Martha Bowen Hunt in the original "fourteen children for which we have no provable evidence as to their parents". Therefore, my concern about the number "14" in your subject line. Sorry. Allen D. As I have posted a number of times, 3 of their children married 3 of John and Susan Ross Weaver's children. I belong to a Weaver site, which is not connected to our Weaver line. The owner of the list found an ancestry.com site where a picture of William Hunt and Amy Moody Weaver is posted. William Hunt Weaver was the son of John and Susan Ross Weaver, and he was a brother to my great grandmother Martha Susan Weaver Payne. Until now we were not aware of any pictures connect to this line. I have e-mailed the owner and hope and pray that the e-mail address is still good. Hazel Of course, I down loaded the picture. I will e-mail you a copy if you are interested. 1. [HUNT] Hunt 14 family -- A QUESTION ABOUT THIS THREAD.
    2. Allen D. Hunt
    3. -----Original Message----- I keep seeing that your subject line continues to be "Hunt 14 family". I feel confident that you are not, repeat, not talking about the particular line of Hunts that call their line, "The 14". At least, I don't think you are. So I don't know how this subject line got started, or what it refers to. Whoever the originator was, please enlighten me. I am of the line called, "The 14". Allen D.
