    3. So nice to hear from you, Jean---and Chuck and Joy. Since Clara was my mentor, idol and inspiration, I feel if Clara couldn't find the answer, no one can! But then---I'm prejudiced. As I recall, Clara had a cousin who is/was a certified genealogist and worked at times proving lineages for the DAR. Joy, do you know who I am talking about? Clara always felt if there was any hope, it lay with this person. She could just not get this man (I believe it was a man) interested. Good Hunt-ing! 3. ...and nice to hear from you Felicia. I do not know who the (Clara's) "certified genealogist" might have been that you referred to. In Hamilton County IL (where Clara and I both were born), was a couple (Ralph and Dessie Harrelson) who did much genealogy but not a lot of sharing. He has passed on and she now lives in a nursing home and her memory has failed her. A note: Ralph was my mother's double first cousin and Dessie was from the Hunt line. Thanks all for the responses. And a NOTE to the HUNT MOMMY, we are on the mailing list. Doesn't that make us a subscriber? Joy

    2. Does anyone know the parents of Jonathan Adamson, b 12 Mar 1828 in NC per the 1850 census but born in IN per the 1870 census? He married Lourana Hunt 11 Oct 1849 in Henry Co, IN. Lourana was the daughter of Wilson Hunt and MIllicent Wilson. They lived next door to James and Mary Ann Roe in the Henry Co 1850 census. Mary Ann's mother, Amassa was an Adamson. Jonathan was a Civil War veteran and he and Lourana moved to Harvey Co, KS after the war where they are buried. I can't find the family in any 1860 census, but they are in Madison Co, IN in the 1870. Children are William, Harriet, Joseph and Sarah. 1880 census has them in Harvey Co with a daughter Dora as well. Thanks, Sharon

    3. Patty, hello, I also am a member of the line called "The 14". To my knowledge, a few people suspect that the Thomas Hunt, of whom you are referring as the father of "The 14", they suspect he is the father. However, there is "no actual evidence, written or otherwise, that he actually is the father." I am glad to hear that you are a descendent of Thomas Hunt. I can not find anything in my database about you. I would love to have a Gedcom file, on CD, if possible, of your line and database information so that I can add it to what I already have. Would that be possible? I would be glad to share or tell you where you can go get it "online".. Hope to hear back from you. You can send to adhunt@cox.net if you wish.
