I have Mehitable HUNT b. 1676 and Robert TUCKER b. 1678 glenrose01@charter.net
All I know is that Elizabeth d. after 1822, as she's mentioned in Daniel's will. I suspect your Hunts and mine are a different bunch -- Daniel's son William is documented on the census as b. in New Jersey -- so far as I know they have no Maryland connections. cheers, Gordon Dem Bones wrote: >Any birth date or death date for this Elizabeth wife of Daniel HUNT? >Here is what I have on my HUNT line. >Barbara HUNT b. Any birth date or death date for this Elizabeth wife of Daniel HUNT? Here is what I have on my HUNT line. Barbara HUNT b. Feb. 12, 1788 MD md John Johnson Nov. 7, 1811 PA . Her mother, Elizabeth (nee?) died Sept. 25, 1841. John and Barbara were living in Fayette Co. PA Springhill twp in 1831 according to the tax list. 2 of their children were also listed on the poor list. So, I know that I have the correct family there. They may have been the John Johnson in Union twp, Fayette Co. PA in 1830. I have no first name for her father. The Johnson family moved into Jay Co. IN by 1850. I don't know if John died in PA or along the way to IN. He died in 1843. Joy, It is referring to a statement at some point in the thread on this discussion where a poster opined that this Jesse Hunt from VA / IL (or some other Jesse Hunt related to this discussion) might have died in Smith Co TN before 1830. My comment is that this Jesse Hunt discussion appears to go back to a completely different area of TN and doesn't appear to me to be tied into the Smith / Wilson Co TN Hunts who were mostly from NC -- but did prior to NC appear to have some relationship to those from southside VA. Searching for a William or John Hunt born about 1850 in Ireland. All dates that follow are approximates. John or William marries a Nora/Honora/Elanora ConnorĀ (b. 1853). I know of 2 of their children Martin Hunt b. 1869 and Mary Hunt b.1871; there may be others. Mary and Martin Hunt are in the USA by 1890, first in NYC and then Jersey City, NJ, but I don't think their parents came over from Ireland with them. Mary Hunt marries John Fitzgerald in 1892 in NYC; these are my ggrandparents. Their marriage certificate lists Mary Hunt's father as William. Mary's death certificate lists John as her father and it also lists Limerick as her place of birth.Nora Hunt is buried in Holy Name Cemetary in Jersey City, NJ in 1906, but I don't know when she arrived in the states. I don't have any record of Martin Hunt after the 1900 census.Any connections?Eileen
Looking for parents of Ruth HUNT, born ca 1760. Married in Adams MA (Berkshire Co.) to Eseck Brown in 1786. They lived Cheshire / Windsor MA. She most probably would be from a Hunt family in Berkshire County MA, or possibly southern Vermont. Nancy

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone. The earliest Hunt with any documentation is John Hunt who died in Boone County Mo. in 1839. He was married to Judith Boldin or Baldwin. They came from the Rockfish Creek area in Fluvanna County Virginia. We believe they lived for a while in Floyd Co. Ky along with another line of mine, the Williamsons. They came to Missouri around 1828 with four other families, Boldin, Williamson Dailey, Brushwood, and I'm not sure who else. We believe that John's parents were John and Ann Ladd Hunt. John Ladd, Ann's father, was also in the Albemarle, Fluvanna area of Virginia. My line comes through Frederick Hunt who was born around 1805 had 4 siblings. Lenaus or Linneaus B., Warren or Warner, Littleberry and Lucynha (sp?)
Looking for Hunt - Severing line Ben Hopkins Hunt (Va) married Grace Severing (Illinois) then sister Rose Severing lived in Ennis Montana. M. Kandzor Kandzor@Whidbey.net

I do not think I have ever written to this group. I will start with this long preamble. My Great grandfather died in a cotton gin accident in Indian Territorry his name was Arthur Francis Hunt born in 1855. Little was known about his family, our family thought he camefrom kentucky and he left because his father wanted him to be a preacher. I found him in Montgomery & Stewart County Tennessee .His father was John O Hunt who was born in Kentucky in about 1812. I believe John O married a Catherine Hust . His fathers or Grandfathers name was James he was listed in the 1850 census saying he was from South Carolina and born about 1765. Does any one know about this family. Is this James one of the South Carolina Hunts who are refered to often? I hope someone can help me Carol Sircoulomb.
Our brick wall is Richard M. HUNT, b. 1824 Wilson Co., TN. According to the 1880 census, his father was born in NC and his mother in VA. I am working on Hunts from a place called Hunt's Bluff in Marlboro County, SC Oldest know male is John Enias Hunt b 1839 died 1869 He married Sarah Elisabeth Rowe. John was born at Hunt's Bluff listed in 1850 in Marlboro County, In 1860 he is in Marion District, He is listed in 1870 Mortality list in Collins Township, GeorgeTown County, SC. The house listed as where he died in same as Eliza Hunt with children John Hunt b 1868 and Catherin Hunt b 1869. John son John Enos Hunt married Sally Clifton Wilson in Carver's Bay, Geogetown County, SC. In 1900 they left SC and went to Clifton, Arizona. Sally died in 1901 and John remarried a Anna Plumb. In 1905 John died in a flash flood in San Francisco River in Clifton, Arizona. He has 4 children from Sally and two children from Anna. Alfred Thomas Hunt Lettie O'Neil Hunt Lucius Benjamin Hunt Sikey Idell Hunt 2nd wife Beluah Chlorine Hunt John Earnest Hunt (State Senator in Arizona 1950's) I decend from Alfred Thomas Hunt. Joh Enias Hunt and Sarah Elizabeth Rowe daughter Catherine married an Owens and as far as I know the Owens are still in SC. I am also interested in a Creswell Hunt he is supposely buried at Hunt's Bluff as far as I know noone has seen his grave since start of 1900s. I had thought perhap related to Christopher C. and Catherine (Blassingame) Hunt. I have found a Creswell Hunt marrying an Elizabeth Evans in 1785 in Pennsylvania in Philadelphia at a Swedish Church. There are Evans family living next door in Marlboro County and so far no records. The Georgetown District courthouse burnt down twice once in 1790 and again around 1830 and then their records was lost when they paniced about the Civil War. They shipped all record to Chester County Courthouse to avoid being bombarded from sea. General Sherman went through Chester County and well burnt their courthouse down. So getting records is like having your nail pulled from your fingers. I decided to take the route to Y-DNA and look for match to narrow down the search of all the different likes and currently me and my dad match 100% at 67 marker and have no match closer then a Genetic Distanec of 12 marker different at 37 marker.
