Thomas of Duxbury and Jane Weston had grandaughter Nancy who m. a Chandler. Ziba Hunt of Duxbury m. Diana Chandler in 1826. Joseph Chandler Jr. of Duxbury m. Martha Hunt in 1700. Solomon Chandler m. Eliz. Hunt in 1766 in Newberryport MA. That is all I could find. I have children of most of them. No Esther. Just found that a great aunt married a HUNT. This is the ancestry of Magnolia E. WILSON's husband, R. E. HUNT. I found 2 Hunts who I have shown here as brothers, just to put them on the same chart, Ellery Hardy HUNT (b. 1783 in NC) and Henry HUNT (b. 1798 in TN). Can anyone tell me how they are related. The second chart is for Richard M. HUNT (b. 1824 in TN). He should fit into the first one somewhere. Can anyone tell me where? Does anyone have land records for HUNTs in Wilson or Gibson Co., TN? Hunt, Abram Pots land, the road leading from David Floid's to David Norman's. His wife was the Widow Mary Winter who had several children by her Winter husband. She and Thomas B. Hunt had no children. Hunt was a fairly wealthy landowner, and his estate went through Equity Court in 1812 for a final division between his widow Mary and her children and Hunt's own brothers and nieces and nephews. He owned property in Spartanburg, Richland and Georgetown Cos., as well as in Union Co. where he made his home in the western part of the county near the Spartanburg Co. line. Named in his will were his wife Mary, his step-daughters Sarah and Jannet Winter, his sister Frances Clayton, his brothers William, John, James and Harrison Hunt, his friend Thomas Pettigrew who was a minor and the son of James and Mary Pettigrew, deceased, of Georgetown Dist., James and John Winter, and the children of his brother William Hunt, Katie and Christopher. The estate was in execution until 1838 because there were so many minor children involved. Various papers in the estate file and the Equity Court file show that the brother William Hunt died in Union Co. in 1807 leaving children Samuel Hunt of Laurens Dist. and Christopher, Catherine, William and Frances Hunt, the last 4 being minors in 1812. The sister Frances Clayton was not named in the Equity case in 1812, so she probably died without heirs between 1802 and 1812. The brother Harrison Hunt lived in Richland Dist., S. C., brother James in Kentucky, and the brother John Hunt is probably the same John who lived in Greenville Co., S. C., before moving to Kentucky and thence to Ill.. Thomas B. Hunt's step-daughters married and lived in Union Co. - Jannet Winter married William Wallace, and Sarah Winter married John Rochelle. By 1824 the widow Mary Hunt was dead, as well as her daughter Sarah (Winter) Rochelle. Sarah Rochelle's children inherited in her stead and were named as Jane A., Permelia Louisa, John, Jr., and Mary Patience. By 1832 Mary Patience Rochelle was married to Jno. D. Adair, in 1833 Permelia L. Rochelle was married to J. Tripp, in 1835 Jane A. Rochelle was of age but still unmarried, and the son John Rochelle, Jr. was apparently still a minor in 1838. The family of William and Jannet (Winter) Wallace lived in Union Co. for generations. Ordered that the Comr enquire and report whether John Rochell is a fit and proper person for the guardianship of his own children; also that he enquire and report of the conduct of the Extors of Thos. Hunt died in Union Co. ca 1811. He had no children of his own. He married the Widow Winter who was apparently from the Georgetown area of S. C.. Thomas B. Hunt left a lengthy will, dated 1802, in which he gave the bulk of his large estate to his wife and her two daughters, his step-daughters. He also mentioned several brothers and a sister of his. After his death the brothers brought suit in Equity Court for the settlement of his estate - this is the case referred to in the above entry. One of his step-daughters married John Rochell, the other married William Wallace. There is a letter in the archives of Salem Academy, the Moravian school in Winston-Salem, N. C. (Old Salem), from Thomas B. Hunt in which he warns the school authorities that his step-daughter might attempt to elope with John Rochell. She did marry him and by this term of Equity Court had died, therefore, John Rochell's appointment as guardian of his minor children, since they were to inherit a considerable estate in right of their mother from the estate of Thomas B. I am looking for a family that settled in Columbus OH around 1906. I do not know the names of the parents, but 3 of the children in their teens were: Ernest Earl Hunt, Mary Hunt and Elizabeth Hunt. I finally got Family Tree Maker so now I can look at the thousands of family stuff I entered on my Mac years and years ago....the names were there but no reference. That looks right and shows the same in the Felicia File on the WEBSITE for Jesse Hunt. However they descend from the Woolmans therefor I must assume they were Quakers at least descended from Quakers. No marriage Is shown for Wilson.. Where did you find the WILSON HUNT marriage? Sandy in Lubbock
