    2. Vicki Muller
    3. Does anyone have information on Georgia Hunt. I was told that her father moved the family from Texas to Washington D.C. at the time of the Civil War; her father was in the military. No dates and names, so I cannot verify this. She married William Augustus Murphy and had four children. When she gave birth to my grandfather (William Hunt Murphy), she was living in New Jersey (June, 1886). Possibly her bother-in-law was the governor of New Jersey. Georgia died in Rochester N.Y. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Vicki Muller _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com

    2. SANFORD B HUNT
    3. Pleased to be of assistance on this one. Just a few short paragraphs for SCOTT BAKER to see if we are in the right ballpark re Joshua and Elizabeth Whittlesey. Thbis is MUCH more on this for the asking::: ***************************************************** Joshua Hunt, b. abt 1758, prob. at Kingston, NH., prob. came to Ryegate, VT, with his parents and some of his siblings, listed as "of Bath, NH" when he served in Timothy Barron's Company in one of Col. Timothy Bedel's regiments in period 10 April 1778 to 1 April 1779, a cook with rank of Sgt. There is legend that Joshua Hunt was at the Battle of Bunker Hill with his father and brothers Zebulon and Moses, but no confirmation of this has been found--he would have been only about age 16 at that time and his brothers one to three years younger. Joshua m. in 1787 Elizabeth Whittlesey of Newbury, VT, believed to be dau. of Josiah Whittlesey who served in the same Company with the Hunt brothers Joshua, Daniel, and Zebulon, and whose dau. Silena m. Daniel Hunt whose brother Zebulon is said in family records of descendants to have m. Lucy Whittlesey. Joshua is found in Ryegate in the 1791 census along with his father Daniel (incorrectly listed as Joshua); his mother died in 1795 and Joshua was the only Hunt found in Ryegate in the 1800 census, his father living with him at that time. The father died in 1807 and Joshua succeeded him on the family farm but died there in 1815, about eight years after his father. His widow died in 1823 and she and her husband are presumed to be buried in the Old Scotch Cemetery in Ryegate with Joshua's parents; no record of the death dates or place of burial of Joshua and Elizabeth has been found. They had nine children for whom a rather extensive record (for most) is possible from vital records, census, town histories, and family records. Children: a. Mehitable Hunt, b. 13 Oct 1788, m. abt 1811 Nathaniel Annis, lived several years in Ryegate and removed to the village of McIndoe Falls at the boundary of Ryegate and Barnet, buried with her husband in cemetery at McIndoe Falls. ****************************.. There is more--several pages. S3 in Lubbock TX.. SOURCE: Mitchell J. Hunt, Willow Grove PA. Author and historian.

    2. My apologies for the following negative report. I need help on this one. Anne Heinle <1for1@bellsouth.net>asked about a DAvid with a brother Daniel . I have searched 15 data bases and find no Daniel with a brother David. No Adaline Compton in Jefferson County MS. and no Franklin Hunt b. 1830 d. 1853. This is all MS and Jefferson County 1823-1853. We need a little help from the MS experts. S3 in Lubbock ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. 2. William Hunt
    3. Lisa, I saw your posting to HUNT-L that gave the name Rhoda Nunnelee of Halifax County, VA. I am very interested in more information about the Nunnelly family, if any is available. My Hunt connection is a recent one, John Austin Hunt who emigrated from Ireland in 1844/45. However, on my mother's side, my gggg-grandmother was Sarah "Sally" Nunnelly, who was born in Halifax County, VA, about 1760. She married John Cox (born 1758) in Henry County, VA, in 1777. They had 12 children, and I am descended from their oldest son, Coleman Cox. I have no other information about the Nunnelly family. Any leads will be appreciated. 1. [HUNT-L] Joshua Hunt & Elizabeth Whittlesey
    2. Scott Baker
    3. Joshua Hunt (1759 - 3 Mar 1814) married Elizabeth Whittlesey (1759 - 1823) about 1787 in Newberry, Caledonia County, Vermont. Joshua was the son of Daniel Hunt (12 Apr 1723 - 1807) and Mary Trussell (12 Oct 1721 - 1795). They are all buried in Ryegate, Vermont. I believe that Elizabeth was the daughter of Josiah Whittlesey (17 Feb 1714 - Mar 1796) and Elizabeth Jackson. Josiah was born in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut and died at Haverhill, Grafton County, New Hampshire. I think that Elizabeth was born at Bethlem, Hartford County, Connecticut. I'm looking for proof of relationship of Elizabeth and Josiah. Joshua and Elizabeth were parents of Eli Hunt (28 Jul 1797 - 18 Jan 1880)- my great great grandfather. Scott Baker

    2. Allen, Sandy et al: Abijah, son of Jonathan II, had seven siblings, according to my database. (This is MRIN #584) There is no Daniel among them. They are: Jonathan III (who had a David, but no Daniel and I have all of his children); then, there are Isreal, Jesse,(who married Elizabeth Hunt, daughter of Capt. John Hunt), and Richard, Jeremiah, Rebecca (who married Benjamin Lawrence), Rueben and Abijah (who did not marry and died in a duel with Poindexter). Since I do not have the children of these other brothers, I cannot answer your question on a Daniel. Do you have any more on this, Sandy? Felicia -----Original Message----- From: Allen D.
