    3. Todd really has a lot--just a little work will bring results. He says his father was born in West Virginia. The Vital Registration Office in Charleston have records since 1917 of births , marriages, and deaths. anywhere in the state. Write to: Vital Registration Office (not here for DIVORCE info-see below) Division of Health State Capitol Complex Bldg. #1 Charleston WV 25305 Send money--call (304)-558-2931 for current fees. You won't get it back even if they can't find what you want. Ask them to please do a BOOK search if they can't find it on their computer(tell them that politely). . Surely you father's father is on his birth certificate. There are, on occasion, some birth certificates without a father. That telephone number is probably a recorded message with a lot of other good information. If you go to the SSDI and find the SS number of any of your relatives alive after 1934 , . you can then apply for a copy of their SS application and record,--full of information.. Death certificates sometimes show the names of fathers and mothers if the infomant at the time of death knew that information. Were any of your relatives in a WAR? Plenty of information on SERVICE RECORDS, readily available from National Archives back to the Revolutionary War. Divorce info in WV must come from the Clerk of the Chancery Court , Chancery Side, in the county where the divorce was granted.. . Sandy Hunt in Lubbock

    2. SANFORD B HUNT
    3. A correspondent Linda Sawyer sent me this: " I have been trying for nearly thirty years to pin Emily HUNT down, to no avail. The only clues I have been able to glean are the names of her children: Henry Peter,Rachel, Vining,Letticia,James,John and Delbert. There also appears to be some sort of connection to the Annis family." This is possibly a QUEBEC family. I have run this through 1700-1850 in the northeast states and Canada but find nothing. There is not much to go on. Sort of like the five year hunt we did for ABSOLOM of Canada who died under a bandsaw in his lumber mill in Montreal. We did find him finally. I have been through all of Mitchell Hunt's stuff and find he was looking for the same person without luck. My thought on seeing that is if he couldn't find them neither can I--but he couldn't find ABSOLOM either and we finally did thanks to computers. Anyway if you recognize any of the names above from the northeastern US or Canada please let me know. Sandy in Lubbock.

    1. [HUNT-L] Charles Hunt
    2. I am trying to find information on the origins of a Charles Hunt, born approx 1745, that was living in Currituck County, North Carolina in 1790. He also appeared on the 1790 census in Pasquotank County, North Carolina. There was also a James Hunt living in Pasquotank County during the 1700's. Charles 11 January 1811 will was proved 11 September the same year. He named only his wife, Lucy, and three small daughters, Lena, Susanna, and Debby. His other children were Hyram and Demsey who were born perhaps 1770. Either Demsey or Hyram was the father of my gg grand-father, William H. Hunt. Demsey and Hyram might have also lived in Carteret County, NC. My gg grand-father, William H. Hunt, was married twice, to Nancy (don't know last name) and lastly to Emily Dennis Hunt. His children were Mariner, William Jr., Martha, Abraham, Frances, Virginia Dare, Sarah, Joanna, and Emily Hunt.

    3. I am looking for info on ancestors or descendants of my grandfather, George Henry Hunt, born in Warwickshire England 08/30/ 1856 or possibly 1858. Parents were John Hunt and Hannah Thornton Hunt Two siblings of George were Sarah Ann Hunt born 1840 and died in 1921 and John Hunt who died in England in 1927. Sarah Ann married Thomas Faulkner of Littleworth Farm, Norton Lindsey, Warwickshire. Both are buried in Norton Linsey Church Cemetary, Warwickshire. The parents of John were William Hunt and Sarah Dyer Hunt, married 06/22/1802. Siblings of John were Jessey, Lueza, Thomas, Maria Jane, Richard and Elizabeth. My grandfather came to America in the 1880's and was married to Eliza Ann Colen of Newington, England in Chicago May 1890. Have been looking for ancestors for some time as my father Sidney Hunt was very young when his Mother(Eliza) died and he knew very little about relatives, all of whom were in England. I plan a trip to England in this summer and would really like any help regards relatives there. I believe most of the families were around the area of Banbury and Warwick, but in small villages. 3. Thank you for the inquiry - I found after sending that last post the ancestors HUNT/BENSON were from Ireland not England , and born abt 1820-30's. I am searching for the parents of (my gr-grandfa.)Owen Francis Hunt b. 1858 in Ireland, but his death certificate says he was born in 1861. According to the RI 1905 census - Owen Immigrated to the USA in 1863; lived in RI all his life and never naturalized. he died May, 1935 in RI. He had a brother Thomas B. Hunt and m. to Rosanna--? and lived in RI also. -----Original Message----- From: Audrey /Robert Cyr <huntcyr@generation.net> To: Magda A.
