    3. Mr. Richardson, Can you supply any dates for your wife's grandmother? It would certainly help out. With some dates I can possibly help out as I have some pretty good data on Greene, Christian, & Taney County, MO HUNTs. Have you checked the Greene County Library there in Springfield? They have an excellent genealogical section and the librariana are very helpful. Especially helpful are the collection of newspaper articles of genealogical interest. The Ozark Genealogical Society Library is also a wonderful source, but their hours are limited. Another good place is the Christian County Library in Ozark, MO I have seen the names you mentioned but have connected them to my HUNT line. Let me know if I can help. Wayne Hunt in Phoenix

Sandy et al, There are two distinct HUNT lines in Scott County, Arkansas. I have one of them -- the brothers John Chaplin HUNT and Amaziah Bailey HUNT, who arrived from Indiana. I could not connect the names in your posting to any of J.C. or A.B.'s descendants. The other Hunt line, for which I have no information and very little knowledge, probably arrived via Tennessee. Some have made the comment that this second line eventually connects back to Edward of Amesbury, but I don't show the connection. I know this isn't much help, but it may provide a clue or two for your correspondent. _______________ William R. 2. --------- Forwarded message ---------- From: CBrand3521@aol.com My father's grandparents on his mother's side were Mary Mays Hunt and John Hunt. My grandmother Ellen was born in 1900 in Yell County Arkansas. They went to Oklahoma in 1908 and John Hunt supposedly staked some land for Ellen and her sister Ollie which was not granted to them for an unknown reason. Either Mary Mays or John Hunts grandfather was John "Cotton" or "Cotton-Eye" Smith. They are said to have been Indian. John Hunt died and Mary remarried William Yancey Adams and had 5 or 6 kids. They lived in Weleetka and Okemah Oklahoma. My Father's grandparents on his father's side were Sarrah Hunt and George Brand. They had my grandfather in Scott County Arkansas, possibly the City of Blue Bell or Waldron in 1898. Once George Brand died Sarrah remariied a Kimbro or Kimbree. I have searched and searched and can find no tree that lists any of them. There are many John Hunt's but I do not have a middle name or place of birth. I will try to get my grandparents birth certificates from Arkansas to see if they list them. Any help would be appreciated. That is all I know.
