Please turn OFF your HTML and anything other than TEXT. ******************************************* Descendants of Simon HUNT - 13 Mar 1999 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- FIRST GENERATION 1. Simon HUNT was born about 1750 in Baltimore co., Maryland. He died in 1814 in Washington Co., Tennessee. Information on this line comes from (Mrs.) Lucy Gump, 703 N. Mtn. View Circle, Johnson City, Tn. 37601. She states it is not proven. Her husband, Louie, is descended from RIN# 2674, Mary "Polly" Hunt, who married Peter Miller Jr. I have taken the liberty to combine "Nacky" Hunt & Nancy Hunt as the same child. This may not be correct, but I propose that they are probably the same person and "Nacky" is a nickname for Nancy. (FKG) Marriage date comes from CD-ROM disc of Maryland marriages from "Hunting ForBears" county unknown. *note (FKG) His will was proved May 1814 . He was married to Mary NOLAND "Polly"/"Molly" on 31 Oct 1771 in Baltimore co.?, Maryland. Mary NOLAND "Polly"/"Molly" was born about 1750. Simon calls her "Molly" in his Will. Washington Co., Tn. Simon HUNT and Mary NOLAND "Polly"/"Molly" had the following children: +2 i. Samuel HUNT. +3 ii. John Bael HUNT. 4 iii. Abraham HUNT was born in Baltimore co., Maryland. 3. Connie, I don't know anything about your Hunt's, but I believe your best bet for the obituary would be on microfilm at the Burton Library in downtown Detroit. This is the best genealogical resource in Detroit. I would call ahead before making the trip to verify they can help you. Here's the scoop on the library: Burton Historical Collection of the Detroit Public Library 5201 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI. 48202 313-833-1480 9:30a-5:30p Parking: Mon-Fri is in the Art Institute's underground lot. On Saturdays you can park for free in the large employee lot on the side of the library. Don Nutt Adrian, MI.
