Tammy and Allen- We really appreciate your information. I have one reservation - if someone asks me for a source what do I say? All I have is an E-Mail address and that is not sufficient because E-Mail addresses change frequently.. Would like to have a snail mail address or if you don't want to do that some source material references. Just some place to go when someone asks for a source. . Regards Sandy Hunt

I am looking for anyone who has information on the Hunt family in Macon County, IL in the 1880's. My father James Dudley Hunt was born in possibly Nitanic area in 1884 to James Dudley Hunt and Clarissa Adans Hunt. The other sons of this couple were Harry, Roy and T. F. A daughter was Mary E. who later married a Pierson and they moved to Decatur. Any information will help. Thanks Harold Hunt

The 1880 Census of Chicago, Ill shows one Robert Bell who was married to an Ellen Hunt from NY. Any information on these folks.
Forwarded from PARKER-L: Hello All, The LDS Family Search Website is on-line for testing. It is from time to time taken off-line so that corrections can be made. The results of tampering are becoming a pain. The address that you must use for now is http://32.96.111.13/default.asp during the test period. When you get to the Website, take your time and explore. It will take some getting accustomed to. You will need to learn the layout as you would being in a strange town or city. --------- Forwarded message ---------- From: RAGLADY@aol.com Found one of my "notes to self". Been meaning to pass along a couple of keyboard tips, but just forgot. No wonder I have a hard time finding ancestors. Hope this isn't too *off topic*; it is really useful for genealogy. Some may already know these, but for those that don't, they can be very useful. These are for making some of those 'strange' letters you run into. In all cases, you hold down the ALT key, while entering the +(plus sign) and numerical sequence "from the keyboard pad"; then release. Make sure your NUM lock is on. Alt +20 = ¶ " +21 = § " +137 = ë " +138 = è " +145 = æ " +155 = ¢ " +156 = £ same thing w/Alt+0163 = £ **The ever popular *pound* sign " +167 = º (degree mark) " +171 = œ " +172 = Œ " +0137 = (0/percent) " +0153 = (trademark) " +0156 = " +0169 = © (copyright) " +0190 = Ÿ The above are just of a few of the ones I have found helpful. They can be created in word processing documents, e-mail and genealogy program notes sections. Hi Nancy, Just out of curiosity.....I have HUNTS (Judith) married to KIMBALL, who have PHELPS as descendants. All from the Shutesbury, Hadley and Leverett areas of MA, 1700-1800. They descend from BARTLETTS and GOULDS, and my PHELPS married a COMINS. Any chance of a link here? Annie upstate NY
I am descended from Hezekiah Hunt from Nova Scotia. There have been speculations that his father might have been a Matterson Hunt who was a Loyalist and went to Nova Scotia abt 1783. Does anybody have names of Matterson Hunt's children? Hezekiah Hunt was married to Hannah Kinney, daughter of another Loyalist, Samuel Kinney. Would really appreciate any information on Matterson Hunt. Nancy Hunt Phelps rdsnancy@aol.com
