They were both heavily involved in the formation of the (now) University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (previously called the 'Oklahoma College for Women,' in Chicasha, Grady Co., OK.) George Henry Hunt 1856-1927 (my ggrandfather) Homesteaded in Nebraska where he died. We know he also purchased land in Virginia and feel there are relatives there but have been unable to indentify. I have letter written by Lydia in 1911. I believe? that Annie married a Walter? and that Lucy Jane married a Harry ? This is gleened from the letter, but may be slightly inaccurate. We had no knowledge of Pearl Hunt and are trying to track her. Her maiden name would be Somers(sp?) or Haskins. Pretty sure that Hunt is a married name. Marietta had a daughter - Ann Vanette Thomas(b NY) who married a Landreth/Landruth and lived around Lake County, OH. The sex is wrong but the name and location are right.
