    1. [HUNT-L] John HUNT d. in Ga
    2. Smith Jamie
    3. I am trying to find someone who can help me with my brickwall. John HUNT is said to have died in Baldwin Co., Georgia abt. 1799. He was the father of Winnie HUNT PARKER. In a book by Ann Waters, "The History of Escambia Alabama", she writes that Winnie Hunt Parker was fullblooded Native American and that her father John HUNT was "AKA BIGBEE" I'm hoping to find someone on this list, who might know something. I believe that the HUNTs may have come to Ga from NC, but I am not sure. Thank you. Jamie --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? HotJobs, a Yahoo! service - Search Thousands of New Jobs

    1. [HUNT-L] Simon of Concord
    2. Everett Hunt
    3. Hello Hunt-List Joy Peach in "The Hunt for Simon Hunt "of Concord" Massachusetts"; The American Genealogist; vol. 75, no. 1, January 2000, has corrected a long standing error in Wyman and other genealogies. This affects the descendants of WILLIAM of CONCORD. She found that the Simon Hunt listed as the son of William and Mary Carly Hunt could not be his son. (William's only son d in 1717/18) She presents convincing evidence that this Simon (ca 1713 - 1777) was actually the son of Isaac3 (Isaac2, William1) Hunt and Mary Willard, and was not the Simon listed in DAR records as a Revolutionary War Veteran. If you are interested, the corrected genealogy is at: Http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~huntpage under William of Concord. The corrected Simon is number 87. Best Regards, Everett Hunt mailto:[email protected]

    2. John Denny
    3. Hello, Firstly I would like to introduce myself as I am new to this list. My name is John Denny and I have been researching my family history for around 4 years now, in that time I have been subscribed to many lists so some of you will know me from those, hello to everyone anyway. Now for my HUNT connections: My wifes ggrandmother was Catherine Louisa HUNT, she married thomas Patrick KELLY in 1904 in the Colchester district (England) - I am currently waiting for the certificate. She probably died about 1924. That`s all I knew of the family until a couple of weeks ago when I was suddenly given a photograph album with a front page inscription dated 1888, to someone whose name I cannot read yet, with around 50 cabinet prints in. The very first one has the name Wm HUNT on the back, it has the photographers name on the front - F.W.PARKIN, Winnipeg, Man. I am assuming that many of them will be family members. No others that I`ve managed to remove have any names on only the photographers artwork. Many of them were taken in the south east area, in particular Bromley and several from south London. I am going to make a list asap. All the best John. (Hinckley, LEI. UK) Family Tree and local hiftory --------- http://familytree.13black.co.uk/

    3. Dean I do not know anymore than the stuff I am quoting. Its all Felicia's. Thanks for the heads-up. I took that off the top of my head without checking. I have to take back that Ireland line. I don't know where I got it. Here is part of the origin of RALPH as quoted by Felicia Gourdin. ******************************************************************** " From Gheesling: "Ralph Hunt, age 22 transported from London to Virginia on the PRIMROSE, by certificate from Min. of Gravesend, 27 July 1635. Is called "Brother" in the will of John (see RIN #3558). 'A' Ralph Hunt was listed as a 'transportee' by 1636." END ----- Original Message ----- From: Dean Hunt To: Sanford B. (Sandy) Hunt Sent: Wednesday, August 14, 2002 7:20 PM Subject: Ralph HUNT Hello Sandy, In your response to Barbara Beck re: James HUNT and Rhoda Nunnalee you made a statement that really piqued my interest. You stated that James' ancestor, Ralph Hunt, came from Ireland. I had always been under the assumption that Ralph was from England! In Hotten's records Ralph HUNT sailed from Graves End, at the mouth of the Thames, aboard the ship "Primrose" on 27 July 1635. Do you have something to indicate otherwise? I have never been able to pinpoint just where Ralph Hunt "of Charles Parish" was born. It seems as if every third HUNT in early 1600 England was named Ralph! Respectfully, M. 3. Sandy, I believe you are the only person whose dates make sense! You would not believe how many people have James Hunt's birth as 1729. Am very interested in this part of your e-mail > WIFE NOTES: Rhoda NUNNELEE > Marriage and children's birthdates are from Rhoda's Bible. Does anyone have a copy of these bible records and to whom the bible belonged? 3. Can anyone explain the following? 1. If James Hunt's birthdate is 1729 and Rhoda Nunnelle's birthdate is 1733 and the marriage date is 1787 that would make Rhoda 54 when they married and her first child born when she was 55. My limited mathamatical ability tells me this can't be true! Maybe for him but not for her. 2. Is there any proof for James Hunt coming from Ireland, except the DAR record? Does this mean James came from Ireland or his ancestors came from Ireland? 3. How do we know he could have been Presbyterian? I can find nothing in the archives of the List that helps me with the above. Thanks, Barbara Beck

    3. Am looking for other descendants of Ralph Smith Hunt (1816-1865) who married Elizabeth Taylor in 1845 in Greene Co, Ala and whose will was filed in Greene Co, Ala. I descend from his daughter Fannie Marie Hunt who married John Warfield Drake in Davidson Co, Tenn in 1889. This is my first post to the list and have just joined this list today. One of his sons supposedly went to Little Rock, Ark and am especially interested in his descendants.
