    1. [HUNT-L] Elijah Hunt
    2. Does anyone have information on Elijah Hunt from Wilson Co. TN born around 1818. He was married to Julia Bryant on Aug. 16, 1837. They had a son named William born Oct. 18, 1838 in Wilson Co. TN. I can't find any record of them in the Census of 1850. I can find a record of an Elijah Hunt married to a Jane Graves in 1839 who has a son named William in the 1850 census of Wilson Co. TN. I want to know if this is the same Elijah and William and if so, what happened to Julia Bryant? Thanks for any information you might have on this family. Delores Hunt Piper

Hunt Dear Sir, My grandfather was John William Hunt, born in 1869 in Corinth, Mississippi. I believe his father was Amour J. Hunt shown on the 1860 census, with first name spelled wrong [Armour], living in Corinth with wife Martha and two children. He is shown as having served for one year,1861-1862, with the Corinth Rifles, then re-inlisting in the 9th Mississippi infantry untill paroled at Greensboro, N.C. on April. 26, 1865. He was 52 in 1860, but I have not found him before 1860 or after 1865. The census shows his birthplace to be Pennslvania. I am writing in hope you may have something in your files that can help me. Sincerely, Everett L. Hunt [email protected] END

    1. [HUNT-L] HUNT, JEREMIAH, B. 1803 VIRGINIA?
    2. Jackie Leonard
    3. I am looking for one Jeremiah Hunt, b. 11-08-1803, possibly Virginia. Married 1-29-1829 in Rutherford Co., Tennessee to Sarah "Sallie" Sloan Taylor, b. ca. 1812 possibly Virginia. Jeremiah Hunt is my g-g-g-g-grandfather. I received this information over a year ago from Sandy Hunt, and also from Clara Hunt Miller's site. Supposedly both Jeremiah and Sarah died sometime after 1854 and are buried somewhere in Rutherford Co., Tennessee, but no sure information on that. Jeremiah and Sarah had 11 children. Does anyone have any connection to this man? Would really like to find out more information about my Hunt Family. Will gladly share what information I have on this particular Hunt branch. 1. Re: [HUNT-L] Who did Deacon Simon Hunt b abt 1704 of Acton MA, Jaffrey NH?
    2. Leslie Hiatt
    3. I've got Deacon Simon Hunt and Mary Raymond, too. I also have Ephraim, their son who married Tabitha Raymond. Interestingly enough, I've just been corresponding with someone from the Raymond list about Mary Raymond (the mother) and who her parents were. I have her as having Jonathan Raymond and Sarah Woodbury. But on the chart which the Concord Free Library has - giving directions to the gravestone - it has her parents as Paul and __________ Raymond. On the gravestone itself, which I was so lucky to have seen this summer, it has her dying in the 84th year of her age in 1790. The stone itself is amazing, given that most women's stones say something like so-and-so, wife of so-and-so, died such and such. I'll copy it here and you will see: Here lies the Body of Mrs. Mary Hunt consort of Deacon Simon Hunt who died Nov r ye 20th A.D. 1790 aged 84 She was loving & obedient to her hufband careful for the bodies and fouls of her Children and for herfelf chofe y good part with Mary. She looked well to her own houfe and meddled not with ye affairs of others Piety to God & kindness to men feemed as her meat & drink She eminently obtained of them this plaudit "Well done good and faithful;" and it is firmly believed, her final Judge adds to this, Enter into the joy of your Lord." Her price if far above rubies Solomon She and Deacon Simon died within 3 weeks of each other. I have his stone inscription, too, if you are interested. Deacon Simon was not the Simon Hunt who was of Jaffrey, NH. 3. Can someone please shed any light on this mystery. I have three daughers of my William Raymond and Mercy Davis married Deacon Simon Hunt (1704-1790) and his two sons, Simon Hunt Jr, b 1734, and Ephraim Hunt, b 1736. This is from History of Jaffrey. Someone else argues that the math doesn't add up. It sure doesn't as to be the mother of Simon Hunt Jr Mary must have been married and given birth at age 11. She hereslef was baptized in 1723 and the succession of ages of the Raymond children suggests that little time had elapsed between birth and baptism. Lucy and Tabitha wwere born a little later, in 1737 and 1743. Yet the Hunt marriages story appears well researched. There is an entire tale about the interelationships among the families of two new settlements in New Hampshire. Does anyone have any information about it?
