Hello My name is Sandra Suter and I am looking for any info on my grgrandfather Arnold Hunt. The only info I have is that he was born somewhere in Tn. in 1872 and died in TN. in 1906. He married Myra Brittanne Katherine Whitlow in Savannah Tn. in 1895. I was able to find them in the 1900 census of Hardin County Tn. He is listed as A. N. Hunt Mary misspelled should be Myra and three sons William Buchanan, James Jay, and Clarence Hunt in 1901 my grandmother Cora Angeline was born and one other sister Exie in 1905. If any one can help me at all with this I would be very grateful as I have hit a Brick wall that is now 5 years thick. Thank you Sandra Suter [email protected] --- Sandra Suter --- [email protected] --- EarthLink: The #1 provider of the Real Internet.
Hello all, We wonder if there is anyone else on these lists with an interest in this family. Our George Gilbert married Eliza Julia Hunt on Christmas Day, 1896 at All Saints church, Belvedere, Kent and she subsequently died at the Miller Hospital, Greenwich on 10 February, 1932. Eliza Hunt was the Henry James and Elizabeth Hunt and was born on 27 September 1872 at Marlborough Street, Greenwich. Which is where this particular trail ends. Perhaps someone has information about the Hunt family that they might share with us. If so, please let us know. We'll be extremely grateful for your help. Many thanks Steve and Jan Goldsmith http://website.lineone.net/~steve_and_jan

It is all contained in the Col Jonathan manuscript which I can send you from the author's disk. If you just wish to go back to James Hunt's ancestors I can do that by GEDCOM or text. Just let me know what you want. Family Group Sheet below is same as the attachment. Sorry but I haven't anything later than Eliz. Hunt death in 1846. None of her descendants. I am a descendent of Elizabeth Hunt (b. 17 Nov 1814 in Montgomery County Kentucky, d. 17 Oct 1846 in Putnam County Indiana) and Joseph Smith (b. 12 Jan 1808 in Montgomery county Kentucky, d. 9 Sept 1884 Mercer County Missouri). Elizabeth Hunt was the daughter of James Hunt (b. 12 Apr 1777, d. 8 Dec 1829 in Montgomery County Kentucky) and Polly Higgins (1787-1859). I am very interested in learning more about this branch of the Hunts as well as more about Polly Higgins. I have a great deal on the Smiths and a copy of a letter with some of the oral history of the Higgins and Hunt families. Best regards Mary Paul Smith Jespersen Bogense, Denmark
This book is interesting. However it was read and considered when publishing Mitchell Hunt's Ralph of LI manuscript. Mitchell said this of YOUNT'S work: Beverly Yount of Richmond, Indiana published a magnificent genealogy on SOME of the descendants of Ralph Hunt through the line of Jonathan Hunt of North Carolina. Mrs. Yount apparently relied on information found on Ralph Hunt found in the Los Angeles Public Library called the American Hunt Family Genealogy June 5, 1912 Vol 1, #24." Mitchell has addressed all the problems of the YOUNT manuscript in his "An Evaluation of The Consuelo Furman Manuscript on Ralph Hunt of Long Island". This is a much more detailed account with considerably more basic research. One important thing many have not recognized is that no one really KNOWS from whence Ralph came. Its all been guesswork and never proved. He was NOT related to Thomas Hunt of Westchester. Sandy Hunt Lubbock Agent for Mitchell Hunt.

Would anyone have information on the following Hunts in Hillsdale, Columbia Co. NY? Benson A. HUNT died Jan 3, 1891 aged 82 years therefore born about 1808 /1809 In 1870 Eleanor HUNT was living with the above Benson A. HUNT and Napoleon BENEDICT, age 18. In the 1880 census Napoleon Benedict, is listed as Benson A. Hunt's nephew. Eleanor HUNT died Oct. 13 1871 aged 92 years which would put her birth about 1779. Benson A. HUNT died Jan 9, 1842 aged 42 yr. 2m 4 days. This would make his birth date Nov 5 1799 Hannah HUNT, wife of Isaac BENEDICT, died May 26, 1836 aged 36 yrs which would make her year of birth about 1800. I am most interested in the names of the parents of the two Benson A. HUNT and would like to find out what the middle name was. I suspect Eleanor was the mother of the Benson A HUNT she was living with in 1870 and likely Hannah HUNT BENEDICT. Any assistance would be much appreciated! Cheers, Anna Kinley

Hunt to Philamina Becklis 2-26-1880 I can only make a line with Mary Ellen Hunt so I don't know anything about the others listed above other than what I just told you. These were on microfilm at the library and the film box didn't have a roll number on it either. But all these marriages took place in Kaufman Co, Texas. Tara
My great grandfather was James H. Hunt born 7-24-1850 in AL & died 1-18-1896 near Pilot Point, Texas. He married Emily Tidwell 9-1-1872 in Lauderdale, AL. She was born 12-5-1854 in Alabama & died 1937 in Pilot Point, Texas. They had 9 children Laler, William Moody, Joe Orby, Susan, James Kelsey, Helen Viola, Elemer Bryant, Stella Emily & Katie Mae. I am searching for any ancestors.

Judith HUNT [email protected] are you still on the list ? If so, I need a new email for you - someone is trying to contact you about your Gedcom on the Hunt site. Courtney [email protected]
I also made a copy of the 1820,1840 and1850 census of TN that includes all the Hunts in the state. I got this out of the census books at my library. I can't say that there are no mistakes since I did not look at the actual records on film. The information I copied is transcribed by others so I can almost promise you that there is a mistake or two in there. If you want a look up please feel free to email me including what you do know about your family including possible ages and children and a county if you know it. I made copies for my own research looking for the parents/siblings of Archibald Hunt and Mary Gilmore. Since I have the information right here at my desk why not help others who need the same information. Please give me a couple of day to get your request together since I do have a sinus infection at the moment and I am not sure how many emails will be coming in for this information. Tara
