    3. Joe, Janet & The Genealogy RO Group, I can't thank you enough. I also sent a thank you note to Susan Clarkson. You all were/are GREAT!!!! If anyone has access to a 1828 Hungarian Census of Maramaros vamegye with the village of Bartfalva I would appreciate if you could check for any Mato family living there in 1828. Also I will see my friend on Sunday. Both he and his 77 yr. old father will be thrilled as they know nothing of their Hungarian ancestors. By the way, Is this Bartfalva in Transylvania? Also does anyone have a breakdown of the people in any old gazetteer? Thanks & I love all of ya' Gerald (Dobozy) Kisabeth

    3. No MATO family was living in Bartfalva, Maramaros vamegye in 1828. But this do not mean much because there is a distance of 3-4 generations between 1828 and 1890. Bartfalva was in the old-historical Maramaros/Maramures region and not in Transylvania.
