    1. Hungary question
    2. Good morning Josef, and anyone else that happens to read this:) I am new to this list and not quite sure where to begin with questions. I have what I think is two birth certificates (copies) from both Grandparents and I think they are Nagy Tavel but I have no idea of where to write to, to find out further information as to both of their parents and so on back. If you or anyone else can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. My cousin is coming on Thursday and I would like to have a bit of info to share w/her if possible. Lots of housework and my regular job to do in the meantime! I think a person named Maria Mikolics said she was researching the area also, and I was just going to send this to her but after a bit of thought I figured I had best send it to the whole list--thanks to anyone that can help point me in the right direction. It was established just for such purpose: to help genealogists in their search for ancestors. Your specific place you mention - Nagy Tavel - is not correct, but maybe you are looking for Nagytevel, county Veszprém, district Pápa. If this is the case LDS has the copies of Catholic church books from 1717 to 1895. Two rolls of film contain all: 699615-6. Locate one of their FHC's (Family History Center) near where you live, order the films and check out those rolls. If you are not sure I gave you the right locality, try to make a scan (or copy) of them certificates and send them to me privately (can't send files to the list). Joe Equinunk, PA - USA jjarfas@ezaccess.net Hi Linda, as Joe said you can not send files to the rootsweb Hungary List but the previous email I posted to this list about sharing on MAGYAR FAMILY website at www.myfamily.com you can upload those type of files and get results. I am not trying to say that Joe can not help you, just the opposite. He is very knowledgeable and will definitely help you. It is just another way of sharing info with others and maybe help somebody else that may not be knowledgeable about how to research their roots. Hope this helps, Laszlo (Les) Josa
