    3. Gonc-Ruszka was in Abauj-Torna Megye, now Borsod-Abauj-Zemplen Megye. The 1877 Dvorzsak Gazetteer shows a Jewish Synagogue in Gonc-Ruszka in the year 1877, with 142 people. The Family History Library Catalog does not have records of a Jewish Synagogue in Gonc-Ruszka. The main Synagogue in Abauj-Torma was located in Szanto, with 1,086 members. I don't know if there was a Synagogue in Gonc-Ruszka in the 1860's. Perhaps the Szanto records would contain records of the family. The Family History Library Catalog has the records for Szanto (Abauj-Torna), Jewish births, marriages and deaths, for the years 1842-1895. The 1877 Dvorzsak Gazetteer lists where people of each town/village went to church. Ruszka (Gonc) (Gonc-Ruszka) had a Roman Catholic Church with 666 people, it belonged to the Kassa Diocese; 20 Greek Catholic people went to Garadna; kg - 21 not stated; ag - 6 not stated; Reformed Church in Gonc-Ruszka had 325 people, Tiszaninnen diocese; IZR (Jewish) 142 people had, it appears, a Synagogue in Gonc-Ruszka.
