The Hammond Times Indiana Feb. 7, 1938 OBITS GABOR HORVATH dies after long illness Whiting, Indiana Funeral services for Gabor HORVATH, 74, 2030 White Oak Avenue, who died this morning following a lingering illness, will be held tomorrow from the residence to the First Hungarian Reformed Church where the Rev. George Garay will officiate. Burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery. HORVATH had been a resident of Whiting for 46 years, and was a retired employee of the Standard Oil Company Refinery where he worked 37 years as a watchman. Survivors: Son: Gabor Jr. in Europe Step-sons: John and Alex of Whiting, Indiana Andrew of Europe He was a member of the Whiting Hungarian Sick and Death Benefit Association.
