So duplicate records exist. In Hungary (as anyplace else) there are data protection laws on the books: 90 year for birth, 60 year for marriage and 30 year for deaths, which are restricted for research unless you are a direct relative. Within these protection boundaries the Mormons are filming also state records and sooner or later you will find them on their web site. Normally the mayor's offices have the registrars with their books. In Ganna the address is: Polgármesteri Hivatal c/o anyakönyvvezető 8597 Ganna Fő utca 52 Hungary Tel.: 011-36-89-351-034 But these people don't have time to do research for you. If you are interested in one specific person, you can turn to the Hungarian Embassy in Washington, D.C., to request official copies of the records.
