Hi Tim, I would suggest that you send for a copy of the immigration papers. The form and instructions are available at the National Archives website. http://www.archives.gov/research_room/obtain_copies/military_and_genealogy_order_forms.html I think it is still free as long as they don't spend two hours researching or over 100 pages in the file to copy, in which case if it goes over they only charge up to $25.00. It takes quite awhile for them to get them out to you but well worth it. I have done this for a few of my ancestors. Just make sure when you fill out the form where it says documents requested, that you request; certificate of arrival, petetion for naturalization and certificate of naturalization. The one's I received were only 3-4 pages. If you have any questions let me know. My great grand parents Stephen and Katherine Kocsai came to America in 1887 from NagyIda Hungary (presently VelkaIda SL). Family historical records have them settling in Tomhicken PA, where my ggf worked as a coal miner there. I don't know the name of the ship line that they came to America on, so I am stuck knowing what to do. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks, Tim Kotsay
