Dear Shirley, Pigler seems to be a fairly rare name, certainly not one that would appear on a list of common Hungarian surnames. Only four appear on the Ellis Island manifests from Hungary, and only a few more from any other country. There are 82 Piglers listed today in the Hungary telephone directory--not a large number. Janet
