Hi All, Actually, I don't consider the topic of "current event" or "historical subjects" off topic on a Genealogy site. Our Ancestors lived in a Socio-Economic-Politial timeframe, just like we do. :) Therefore, info about the mid 1800 Hungarian Revolution, the 1956 Revolution, as well as how those in present day Hungary view America or those of us in the America's view Hungary is, from my perspective, relevant on a Genealogy Site. Many, on both sides of the Atlantic, have bravely fought for political freedom to govern themselves. A part of that "fight" has been for Freedom of Speech!!! From my perspective, "current events", "historic subjects", "religion" & "Socio-Economic-Politial" topics ARE very much a part of the "context of genealogy". Let's keep it civil, but let's NOT limit our "Freedom of Speech" on this site or any other!
