Is anyone on the list have German ancestors that settled in Zemplen Megye? Mine came from Germany in the late 1700's and settled in Hosszulaz, Satoraljauhely, etc. I was told they were Donauschwaben, but I cannot find any information on Danube Schwabians in Zemplen Megye. Everything is about the Schwabians that settled in lower Hungary. I did come across a site about Carpathian Germans in Slovakia and now I'm confused.....( as always! lol) Is anyone else working on Germans in Zemplen who knows anything about the history of this area?
