    3. Jim, You may be pleasantly surprised to find a relative or two or more who speak English. Do you know for a fact you have living relatives in Hungary? Have you checked the phone directory? Have you tried putting a message on an ancestry or roots web message board? My cousin in Hungary found me that way and we have found our relationship growing and very satisfying. I also found a cousin living here in Florida from my German line....a man in Bavaria who I had been communicating with for awhile found a message on the Bavarian Board and realized the man who wrote it was searching the same family I was. He sent me the message, I followed up and had my new found cousin here for New Years. I can only speak from personal experience but if your family is from a small village, they may still be there or in a neighboring village. Try writing to the Priest of the village and see if he will respond. Or send a letter to the Mayor. You have a great advantage in that you can plan a trip and seek out your family. Good Luck Elizabeth V. Cardinal evc1369@comcast.net
