Hello, Don't know anything about the first question but "meghall" can well be "meghalt" which would mean "died". <<Does this mean she was a Mother Superior? How might I find out to which order she belonged?>> I do not think this means Mother Superior but am not positive. Mother in Latin is MATER. Prius means before. I can't get at my Latin-English dictionary. There were many orders/communities/congregations of Women Religious in Hungary at one time and unless you can find one located in the particular town your ancestor lived in, I think it would be impossible to find out which one. I have a relative who was a Monk and is mentioned in a letter I have dated 1946. I wrote to several major orders of men and did not receive one answer. Elizabeth V. Cardinal evc1369@comcast.net
