Hello Dan and fellow listers, We dodged another bullet. We boarded up on Saturday morning. Rained about 4 inches Friday afternoon. Winds were real bad from about 9pm. They got real bad about 3am Saturday had gusts to about 80mph at about 3:30am. It was a lot worse just south of us (about 7 miles). They had about 6 ft of water from the storm surge. It also was even worse with the wind and surge west of us. Luckily all we had was about 10 inches of rain between Friday afternoon till Saturday afternoon when the rain stopped. Then click on Vermilion parish, that is the county just south of us where it got real bad. They are still rescuing people as we speak.
