The Oakland Tribune Calif. July 31, 1941 Berkeley Woman Dies In Theater Mrs. Jennie LANDO, 69, a resident of Oakland for 35 years, died last night in a Berkeley theater of a heart ailment. She had been ill for six months, but went to the theater with her daughter, Mrs. M. L. KAPLAN, 2716 Prince street. Suddenly she slumped in her seat. She was taken to the Berkeley hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. Born in Hungary, Mrs. LANDO came to the US as a child. She moved from San Francisco to Oakland in 1906. Besides Mrs. KAPLAN, Mrs. LANDO is survived by: Son: Herman LANDO of San Francisco Daughters: Mrs. Joseph ALTMAN of Berkeley Mrs. Max LEVY Mrs. Joseph HIRSCHHEIM of Oakland Mrs. Jack ABRAMS of NY Funeral services tomorrow at the Albert Engel Company Chapel, Oakland, with Rabbi William Stern officiating. Internment at the Portals of Eternity cemetery, San Francisco.
