Your old newspapers and just regular obits have been valuable in the areas I am researching. It may not be a surname I am working with, but it will give either cemetery or funeral home information for contacts. Sadly funeral homes that were bought out after the early 1900s didn't often protect or have access to earlier records. Sometimes cemeteries used grave-digging permits for another research source; but an expert on Pennsylvania required documents said this wasn't a state requirement. Does anyone know, were there grave-digger unions back then? I forgot to ask the expert this question. Marika **************Psssst...Have you heard the news?
