The Long Beach Press Telegram Calif. Feb. 2, 1953 Rev. Philip SLACK, 59, of 2024 Bellflower Avenue, widely known evangelist for 30 years of the Christian and Missionary Alliance church and one time pastor of the Long Beach congregation, died Jan. 31st. in a Long Beach hospital. He was born in old Austria-Hungary, came to the US as a young man, and lived in NY state, residing in Johnson city NY, prior to moving to Long Beach to make his home in 1949.
