Liz, like I said still no power here in Kingwood (northeast suburb of Houston). You are right got to meet some real nice neighbors. Sat out on the driveway every evening and chatted and grilled for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Brewed coffee the old fashion way with a drip pot. Finally gas lines are down to nothing (early in the week the lines were miles long). We have been able to find ice almost every day (first day or two we had to wait in line) and Memorial Hermann Hospital has been providing free ice to employees. Who needs FEMA (they are a joke, they just can't get it right). They are telling people to call 1800621FEMA and if you are lucky enough to get a cell phone connection they put you in a loop of question like for english press 1 and so on, then they tell you that you can log on www.fema.gov for quicker service and then you get the message that please call back later because all associates are busy and you will now be disconnected. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!! -------------- Original message from "[email protected]" <[email protected]>: -------------- Power came on about 3 this afternoon. Hot coffee! Dishwasher, clothes washer & dryer, TV, internet, back to living in the 21st century. BUT, I got to meet my neighbors, trade favors, learn the kids names, share bbq from the grill, cooked in the twilight. The roof on my condo leaks, the back door won't close..... I > feel lucky compared to the people with houses gone. > Liz > ____________________________________________________________ > Click here to discover unbeatable cruise deals. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2131/fc/Ioyw6iifleUE8T5SrzAZYkTKa2uHKS5DfSxW > uNeZ5MOK4TchI2oy9f/ > > -------------------------------To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in > the subject and the body of the message
