The towns and villages in Transcarpathian Ukraine had a significant Jewish presence for nearly three centuries. It all ended with the Nazi onslaught, executing with zeal their "Final Solution." JewishGen's ShtetLinks sites are one way to commemorate these destroyed Jewish communities. Anyone with the requisite knowledge and commitment should consider creating ShtetlLink sites for other destroyed Jewish communities.
