Second attempt -----Original Message----- From: Elizabeth Cardinal [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, December 20, 2008 8:10 AM To: '[email protected]' Subject: RE: [HUNGARY] Bakery products - sources Thank you, Marika. I just placed an order at http://www.grandmaannsnutbread.com/index.html I do not need the items for Christmas Day but hope they can ship them so I have them for New Years day when I am having our traditional dinner for family and friends. If they do not arrive in time, I know we will still enjoy them. Who can not eat nut and poppy seed breads any time of the year. I know I cannot resist them. I have never used yeast in my Kifles. I am sure there are many ways to make them. Actually, my mother and my aunts used different recipes but they all contain, butter and cream cheese. One calls for eggs, another sour cream and yet another calls for both. They all used walnuts, sugar and sour cream for the filling. This year I substituted pecans for the walnuts and they turned out to be just as delicious. I have some dough left and will use it with apricot and strawberry filling by request of one of my sons and my grandsons. I think I have a can of Solo Poppy seed filling and may try a few with it. Seasons Blessings to all Elizabeth Elizabeth V. Cardinal [email protected]
