Hi Listers! I wonder if anyone has suggestions as to what I could try next to find records for my great great grandparents MIKOLICS Imre & NYERE Julianna. All I have that's confirmed is that their son, my great grandfather MIKOLICS Gyorgy, was born in Borzavar October 1866. According to the record for his marriage to KARNER Veronika in 1892 he was living in Csesznek at the time of marriage. I've tried to outline my research path below. Perhaps someone will be able to work out where I may be going wrong..or have some other ideas. I have found a record for a MIKOLICS Imre born in Borzavar in 1841 which is about the right time, but I can't assume the link without further verification. So my thought was to try and find the marriage record for my great great grandparents (mid 1800s) in the hope that it mentions their parents. I haven't been able to find anything in the marriage records for Borzavar. So then I tried to work out where the bride was from, thinking they may have married in her village. I looked at the 1828 Census index for Veszprem and found only one mention of NYERE, being in Csesznek. Interestingly, the marriage record for their son, my great grandfather, had him living in Csesznek at the time so perhaps a family link to the village... I looked at the film for Bakonyszentlaszlo which I hope I worked out correctly to be the film that covered Csesznek but still no success. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try next? Any advice/suggestions would be most gratefully received.
